A favourite of Christchurch audiences for almost twenty years, Scared Scriptless combines fast-paced, off-the-cuff theatre with just the right amount of audience interaction and the Court Jesters’ own brand of razor-sharp wit. Based on audience suggestions, the players offer a completely new show each night for less than the price of a movie! Tickets $12 / $15.
Depending on when you attend, you could see:
- Theatre Sports match: Two or more teams battle it out head-to-head for some ephemerally important but ultimately meaningless trinket — or simply for the love of you, the audience!
- Improvised songs and musicals: With the aid of our extremely talented musical improvisors, the Jesters make beautiful music before your eyes.
- Scriptless Idol: A large group of players form temporary alliances to escape elimination and vie for the title of Scriptless Idol. Only you have the power to decide who is worthy of such an honour!
- Quick-fire games and scenes: From old favourites like Word At A Time Story and Alphabet to experimental, Frankensteinian games of our own devising like Sean Connery Is My Milkman and How Many Dudes?, you’re guaranteed to see something at Scriptless you’ve never witnessed before.
