Daniel Bain

Since graduating from two years at CircoArts circus training school, Dan has worked as a clown, contortionist, comedian, juggler, magician, human chopping block, and stilt acrobat in circus tents, street corners, and cabarets the world around. He has been a member of the Court Jesters since 2003, regularly performing in Scared Scriptless and at corporate events as an improviser. He is also a stand-up comedian and event MC of some repute and has become a familiar face at the Court Theatre, performing lead roles in seven kids’ shows (and counting), the critically acclaimed Pulp William, many of the Jesters’ seasonal shows and the sellout extended season of the world premiere of Roy Smiles’ Backstage. 2010 will be his playwrighting and directorial debut at the Court, with his experimental silent kids’ show A Paintbox of Clowns. He also bi-annually tours univerities through NZ, Australia and the UK doing motivational speaking for The Ideas Agency.
