After a successful high school theatresports career back in the day (further back than he would care to admit), Ben went into what was largely improv hybernation for 14 years or so. While in it he got a number of degrees, was involved heavily in amateur theatre – writing and directing for Dramasoc, and acting in locations as exotic and diverse as Ilam and Merivale – and recently became a Dad, a role in which he has found improvisation skills are often called upon. In 2009 he co-wrote and co-directed the national runner-up entry in the popular V 48 HOURS Furious Filmmaking competiton. Now emerged from his performance improv chrysalis, he looks forward to becoming a beautiful improv butterfly, although he’ll settle for being some kind of cool improv moth.
